For those of you who pay annually, may I remind you that your subscription of £5.20 is due in December to secure your membership for a further year. Click here for a subscription renewal form. (Some members have already paid for next year)

This is your only reminder. Non payment will presume you are no longer interested in being a member and your name will be removed from the database.

You can pay your subscriptions by standing order, simply make arrangements at your bank.

Payment should be made on the 15th of December and you will need our bank account number. Ring Alan Fitton for bank details, using the contact number on the newsletter e-mail.

AGM
The Annual General Meeting of the Leeds Recreational Club will be held on Thursday 27th November 2008 at Milford Sports Club in Beecroft St. 

(Beecroft St joins Kirkstall Rd to Burley Rd. Travelling from Leeds along Kirkstall Rd, Beecroft St is the last road on the right before the traffic lights at Kirkstall Hill. Alternatively, travel along Burley Road and Beecroft St is the last road on the left before Kirkstall Hill. Those of you who attended AGM's and Wood Trophy evenings many years ago will recognise that this is the same way to the Postal Club building.) 

Parking is available on the site. Tea will be provided at 5pm prior to the meeting only to those who have sent in a request. The meeting will start at 6pm.

Overnight weekend - Althorp House (family home of Diana Princess of Wales) and Lincoln. Saturday 18th July 2009
Admission to Althorp House and gardens Afternoon tea served exclusively in the State Dining room with finely cut sandwiches, fresh scones with clotted cream and jam as well as home baked treats such as fruit tarts, chocolate éclairs and ginger cake all served on the fine Spencer family china with freshly brewed Althorp tea. 

Dinner, bed and breakfast at the 4 star Barcelo Daventry Hotel with leisure facilities. Visit to Lincoln on Sunday. Cost £82 for a member £86 for a guest.

We have to advertise this early to secure this year's prices. A non-returnable deposit of £35 is required at this stage (balance seven weeks before departure).

Applications limited to two but if you indicate you want more then mention on the application form. 

We will allocate member and guest first then if seats are available - others. If the coach is not full within two weeks, the trip will have to be cancelled as we cannot hold the house and Hotel booking any longer.

Pantomime at The Alhambra Bradford. Saturday 24th Jan 2009, 2.30pm performance
Billy Pearce is again star of the show as Buttons in "Cinderella". 

Emmerdale's favourite Dingle, Hayley Tamaddon as Cinderella Also featuring the Enchanted 3D fantasy. 

Tickets are available for the 2.30pm show (make your own way there) and will be sold on a first come first served basis until our supply is exhausted. So get your applications in early. 

Cost of the stalls seat is £13, (£22.00 is what you will pay if you book your own.)
