Bury Market Saturday 14th June 2008.

Why do hundreds of thousands of satisfied shoppers overwhelmingly visit the leading Market in the North West every week? For over five hundred years, Bury Market has dominated the consumer retail sector in the area. Over the past thirty years, retail giants have developed in the vicinity, yet Bury Market remains the undisputed champion of the North, attracting 250,000 visitors every week.

Quite rightly world famous, Bury Open Market oozes charisma and atmosphere. The ambience and layout offers visitors the opportunity to seek out and visit every stall. The range of products and facilities is second to none. Bury Market is a very large traditional market in a modern setting. It's a unique shopping experience and great day out for Individuals and Groups.

Bury's world famous market is open Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, for bargains galore. It is the biggest and best market in the North West.

Southport Saturday 9th August 2008.

Eighteen miles north of Liverpool is Southport, 'England's Classic Resort', where you will find glorious sandy beaches, panoramic seafront and a Victorian pier. Described as sophisticated, cosmopolitan and vibrant, Southport is the perfect place to enjoy a traditional British seaside break, but with all the modern amenities you would expect.

First port of call for many visitors is Southport's famous pier, the oldest surviving iron pier in the UK and the longest overland pier in the country. Adjacent is Marine Lake, the largest man-made leisure lake in the U.K, and Marine Way Bridge. The lake boasts various attractions such as the Miniature Railway Village and Southport Belle Mississippi style paddleboat. Another exciting attraction is the new all weather water park Splash World with high speed water slides. Nearby is the largest area of unspoilt Dunes and pinewoods in the UK where you will find one of the few remaining red squirrel colonies.

Southport's Lord Street is famous for its shopping. The leafy boulevard with its glass-canopied shops and stunning Wayfarers Arcade, make it one of the Northwest's leading shopping destinations. To make it slightly different to normal we have arranged to leave Southport at around 4pm and drive to the Botanical gardens at Churchtown for an afternoon tea of sandwiches, tea and cakes.

Cost per person is £5, no reduction for children as the cost is mainly for the afternoon tea, which is being charged per head.
