PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION

Open to all members of BTLRC. 

Closing date for entries WEDNESDAY 15th November 2007 

1st prize £100 2nd prize £75 3rd Prize £50 subject to a minimum of 30 members entering. Each member to enter no more than 6 pictures and must be their own work and taken within the last 2 years. 

Entries will be converted into digital images by the Video Computer Section and judged by a panel of 3 judges, including one member from the BTLRC committee, from being projected on a Computer Monitor screen. 

Photographs can be any size up to A4 (to allow for scanning). 

Photographs can be produced in Colour or Black and White, mounted or unmounted prints, 35mm transparencies or sent as an email attachment. 

A list of the entries should be included with the prints. Titles can also be listed against an identifying number. PLEASE include a return postal address.

SUBJECTS This first years competition any category i.e. no set subject. 

Non-electronic entries i.e. photographs on paper, will be scanned and the originals will be returned within 2 weeks of receipt to the return address provided.

Entries will be presented to the judging panel not in the sets as received but in random order. 

The copyright of the photographs will remain the owners but all photographs entered for the competition will be shown at the BTLRC AGM and the prizes winners will be announced and prizes distributed on the night of the AGM. 

The organisers reserve the right to withdraw an entry if it is thought not suitable for projection.

Pantomime at The Alhambra Bradford. Saturday 5th Jan 2008, 2.30pm performance
Billy Pearce is again star of the show as Peter Pan. 

Tickets are available for the 2.30pm show (make your own way there) and will be sold on a first come first served basis until our supply is exhausted. So get your applications in early. 

Cost of the stalls seat is £11, (£18.00 is what you will pay if you book your own.) Your cheques will not be cashed until October.

Trafford. Saturday 27th October 2007
To finish off the year and to give you chance to do some early Christmas shopping we are going to The Trafford Centre at Manchester on Saturday 27th October 2007. 

A 9am start should get you there about opening time. Always popular with the ladies and at such a cheap cost.

Tickets
Harewood House and Chatsworth House

The tickets will be again available to borrow, free of charge to members. 

The Chatsworth ticket allows free car parking, entry to the house, gardens and farm for up to six people. 

The Harewood ticket allows member + 4 people (Mon to Fri) or 1 member + 1 adult and 3 children any time To check availability and booking, please ring Paula Scott, using the details on the covering e-mail.

Newby Hall

We have a corporate ticket for Newby Hall and gardens available free to members. 

It admits two adults and up to three children to the Gardens, Woodland discovery walk, Childrens adventure garden and Sculpture park. 

Admittance to the house costs an additional £1 per adult and 50p per child. (Payable on site) There is also a small railway ride available at a cost of £1.50. The ticket also gives you a 10% discount at the gift shop. 

Opening times - April, May, June and September - Gardens 11am to 5.30, House 12noon to 5.00 Tuesday to Sunday July and August daily.

Book Early! Most of our excursions are booked up within two days of the news letter issue. It is very rare to have seats left a week later, so book by return of post to avoid disappointment.
