Great Yorkshire Show 10th-12th July 2007

The three-day countryside showcase takes place from Tuesday 10th to Thursday 12th July at the 250 acre site at Harrogate. 

The event combines entertainment and fun with the opportunity to see first hand the many aspects of country life and farming. The Main Ring is the hub of the show and within the packed programme there's everything from international show jumping to pole climbing, from marching bands to the cattle parade. 

In the line up for 2007, there's the spectacular Royal Signals White Helmets, displays from the Mounted Games Association and musical entertainment from The Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment. Take a look at the hundreds of animals - from exotic poultry to the majestic Shire Horses; then there are the many demonstrations - sheep shearing, stick making, fly fishing.. to name but a few, then there's the fantastic Great Yorkshire Cheese & Dairy Show, the Fashion Show, the country pursuits area.

Scarborough Saturday 18th August 2007.
It's six years since we went to Scarborough and if you are looking for somewhere to take the children or grandchildren during the school holidays then sit back and let the coach take the strain. 

No parking fees and cheaper than the car.

Flamingoland Saturday 14th July 2007.
Looking for that destination that offers a wide variety of attractions for all the family from toddlers to grandparents? Then look no further! Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo offers a wealth of fun and excitement for all ages. There is so much to do - sample the many white knuckle thrillers, take a stroll through the breathtaking zoo, be amazed by the six superb family shows or simply enjoy watching your little ones exhaust themselves in Kiddies' Kingdom.

The zoo is home to over 1,000 animals, including African Lions, Giraffes, Rhinoceros, Hippos, Siberian Tigers, Grants Zebras, Bactrian Camels, Monkeys, Sea Lions, Reptiles, Humboldt Penguins, Meerkats and of course, the famous pink flamingos, the largest flock in the country. In the Bird Walk you can see birds of all sizes from ostriches to the tiny finches.

Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo definitely is the theme park for those of you who like to be frightened out of their wits. Flamingo Land is home to some of the best white knuckle thrillers in the UK including, Velocity the UK's only motorbike coaster, The Navigator, The Circulator and Cliff Hanger which will blast you 200 feet into the air before plunging you back to earth. New for 2006 is Kumali, this suspended coaster will send you on a journey through over 1000 metres of twists, loops and turns at speeds in excess of 60mph.

As well as stomach-churning white knuckle thrillers, Flamingo Land offers a whole host of wonderful rides and attractions for youngsters to enjoy. These include the Dragon Coaster and Tea-Cup ride in Little Monster's Den of Mischief, as well as the Junior Driving School and high flying Jets. New for 2006 is Muddy Duck Farm, youngsters will be able to drive their very own tractor through the farm where they will be able to see their favourite farmyard animals as well as some themed surprises.

For those of you just too small for the dizzy heights of the Cliff Hanger, there's your very own free falling Frog Hopper. Take a ride on the traditional Carousel or enjoy your train journey around Little Monster's Mischief Mansion where you will come face to face with the resident Little Monsters - Little Mummy, Little Drac and Little Yeti. Harewood House and Chatsworth House

The tickets will be again available to borrow, free of charge to members. The Chatsworth ticket allows free car parking, entry to the house, gardens and farm for up to six people. 

The Harewood ticket allows member + 4 people (Mon to Fri) or 1 member + 1 adult and 3 children any time To check availability and booking, please ring Paula Scott, using the details on the covering e-mail.

Newby Hall

We have a corporate ticket for Newby Hall and gardens available free to members. It admits two adults and up to three children to the Gardens, Woodland discovery walk, Childrens adventure garden and Sculpture park. 

Admittance to the house costs an additional £1 per adult and 50p per child. (Payable on site) There is also a small railway ride available at a cost of £1.50. The ticket also gives you a 10% discount at the gift shop. Opening times - April, May, June and September - Gardens 11am to 5.30, House 12noon to 5.00 Tuesday to Sunday July and August daily. Blackpool Pleasure Beach

As they have introduced a new system of charging different prices for different days, it is now more difficult to administer tickets. 

However, we will try our best.
